Starting a pet blog is never easy.
There are tons of things that you’ve to look after in order to keep your blog sustainable and growthful.
But keeping all the challenges and difficulties aside, hundreds of pet bloggers actively share their experiences about owning a pet.
And I’m one of them.
In this post, I am sharing my Pet Blogging Purpose, which keeps me motivated to write and share my dog experiences with my readers.
So, without any ado, let’s start.
My Pet Blogging Purpose!
If you’re a pet blogger as well, I will request you to participate in this challenge and share your own pet blogging purpose with your entire community. Follow our pet blogging purpose informative post to share your responses.
Below are my own responses:
1. What is your blog all about, and when did you started it? What is your Pet Blogging Purpose?
My blog, Improve Dogs, is all about dogs and puppies. I started my blogging journey in 2020 when I published my first post on the importance of puppy socialization.
My Pet Blogging Purpose –
I adopted my first pet dog (Marley) in 2016, and I loved to play with her. Slowly I started training her with different techniques and methods and used to take her on short trips.
Back then, many other pet parents used to ask me how she was so well behaved and obedient. Every time I visited pet parks, they used to show their own dogs, who were usually aggressive or disobedient. But that was not the case with my Marley. I had trained her well enough for every situation and scenario.
When the Covid-19 hit in 2020, I started spending time at home and heard the news that there is a wave of people adopting pets in the lockdown. And soon, I realized that it’s time to share my own dog-owning experience with the new pet parents.
That was when I quickly set up this blog and started writing on first-time pet owners, the likely challenges they’re going to face, and much more. My purpose was to help pet parents spend quality time with their four-legged companions without worrying about their training part.
2. How is your blog different from tons of pet blogs out there?
For every post, I deeply research people’s queries and problems to have a thorough idea of what people are exactly seeking.
Though there are thousands of dog blogs out there, my content speaks about people’s experiences and the day-to-day challenges they face with their pets.
I always try to share stories and my own experiences in my posts, which I think are pretty informative and helpful for my readers.
3. What are your top 3 posts of 2021 that you’re most proud of?
My 3 top posts of 2021 that made the most noise on the internet:
- Dog diarrhea symptoms, causes and treatment
- 9 Effective Home Remedies To Treat Upset Stomach In Dogs
- 11 Proven Ways To Stop Your Puppy From Crying At Night
4. Your one piece of advice to pet owners struggling with:
Lazy Dogs: If your dog is lazy, I would suggest you take them out to dog parks, breeding shelters and short trips to let them see the real world. Dogs act lazy because they don’t have much to do, so it’s a great idea to set a healthy routine for them.
Aggressive Pets: Sharp and aggressive dogs are not easy to handle, but you can control their behaviour with active training. Try socializing them more and teaching them commands to gain their consciousness quickly.
Disobedient Pets: If your dog doesn’t listen to you about anything, it means you’re lacking in their training part. Start with easy commands and provide them with their favourite treats to grab their attention for a longer period.
In the end, they’re just sweet companions looking for a lot of love. So, treat them like your own babies.
5. Which type of new articles/categories will you likely introduce in the next 6 months on your blog?
My goal is to introduce articles about senior dog parenting in the next six months. Many pet owners have queries and troubles regarding their old-aged pets, and I think it’s the right time to provide them with the relevant support and advice.
6. Are you planning for any upcoming surprises/giveaways for your readers?
Yes, I plan to start a newsletter series by the end of this year, including weekly quizzes and challenges, and the winners will win free pet goodies.
7. Why should your readers stick with your content and blog?
If you own a small dog and worry about their socialization and training, you can find many of the posts on this blog to help you out. Also, for dog facts and fun training, you can browse this blog anytime to grow your knowledge.
This goes without saying, but every pet blogger tries their best to provide superior and relevant information to their readers, and that’s what I also do. So, for more amazing and exciting dog content, do not forget to bookmark this blog.
